Ces trois-là se sont souvent croisés, que se soit dans le paysage de la création contemporaine grenobloise ou dans des collaborations artistiques (Paysage après la pluie, 2147 l’Afrique). Aujourd’hui réunis autour du cirque, ils prennent à bras le corps la dernière promotion du CNAC pour 20e / Première, célébrant dans ce titre à la fois le premier engagement de ces jeunes artistes mais aussi les vingt ans d’une formation diplômante qui permet aux étudiants de se confronter, en fin de cycle, à un véritable univers artistique. Ici, c’est Thibault qui ouvre le bal : tous les agrès sont présents sur la piste, tout le monde est prêt et il faut que ça tourne. Les références au cinéma voulues par Georges Lavaudant ponctuent le spectacle, à travers des images, des bandes sons, ou le bruit incessant du projecteur. Bienvenue dans le monde de l’illusion, semble-t-il nous dire, alors que s’enchaînent les séquences sans fondus, sans fil rouge, au rythme d’une musique qui déménage et rythme le tempo. Le ton est vite donné, on comprend que la légèreté est de mise, et l’humour se glisse dans bien des situations rocambolesques. La bascule au timing affûté, bijou de virtuosité, célèbre l’esprit de corps et de groupe des garçons, entre émulation et franche camaraderie.
Légèreté et virtuosité
C’est en s’attachant aux personnalités de ces jeunes artistes que Lavaudant a construit le spectacle. Belle intention, qui permet à chacun de développer son expression et sa technicité dans son agrès. C’est à la fois le défaut et la qualité du spectacle qui souffre d’un zapping trop effréné sans que l’on puisse finalement retenir un univers, une atmosphère. On se laisse alors captiver par les images et les musiques, à l’humour parfois kitsch et décalé (la gymnastique, les arts martiaux…) et au détournement trop facile des références du cirque d’antan comme avec des fauves d’un nouveau genre ou un ours à taille humaine. On reconnaît la signature d’un Gallotta pour de petites séquences chorégraphiées et remplies d’humanité, mais trop éparpillées et peu habitées pour convaincre. Il reste alors dans la rétine du spectateur un monde imaginaire haché de rêves et de couleurs, porté avec brio et légèreté par des artistes prometteurs.
