Sophie Lecarpentier s’est lancé le défi de réunir, en une seule et même soirée, les trois volets du Roman de la famille Almaviva, au Théâtre de l’Ouest Parisien. Cosignant avec le comédien Frédéric Cherboeuf une version réduite et recentrée de la Trilogie de Beaumarchais, la fondatrice de la compagnie Eulalie a fait le choix « de l’intégrité sans l’intégralité ». « Nous avons tenté de montrer comment, en près de 25 ans, explique-t-elle, le désir, les sentiments, la fidélité à ses engagements – qu’ils soient politiques ou amoureux -, la vigilance, la résistance, la gaieté – au sens fort que lui donne le XVIIIe siècle -, sont tour à tour bousculés, abîmés, parfois étouffés par le vieillissement ». Accompagnée d’une musique originale de Bertrand Belin, 3 Folles Journées ou la Trilogie de Beaumarchais brosse le portrait d’une génération de femmes et d’hommes de la fin de l’adolescence (Le Barbier de Séville), à l’âge adulte (Le Mariage de Figaro) et au début de la vieillesse (La Mère coupable). En trois journées, se déploie ainsi « une fresque, une épopée où le temps passe à la vitesse du jour, avec pour questionnements : comment vieillir au théâtre, quels effets le temps produit-il sur les couleurs, sur l’espace, sur les acteurs ? ».
