Cinq histoires brèves, entre rendez-vous troublant et finalement raté pour une première expérience amoureuse, désirs de changer de vie et de normes sociales, mélancolie et vertiges d’un passé de couple douloureux, et pour finir improbable irruption de l’amour dans un monde en guerre. Cinq histoires autonomes, reliées par cette idée de la clé – objet métaphorique que l’on retrouve parfois de façon trop insistante dans la narration – cinq histoires explorant l’infinie complexité de notre petite société humaine, histoires qui chacune ont lieu à un moment charnière, un moment de basculement. Quatre acteurs, Jean-Paul Wenzel – aussi auteur et metteur en scène – Jade Duviquet, Thibault Vinçon et Lou Wenzel pour plonger dans l’intime, ses incertitudes, ses désirs et ses goûts de regret. Une telle entreprise doit pouvoir donner à voir la vie même et dépasser une certaine banalité, en trouvant une forme adaptée, en trouvant les mots, les silences et les gestes suffisamment signifiants, exprimant en profondeur le ressenti.
Désespérément désoeuvrée
La direction d’acteurs compte pour beaucoup dans la mise en scène, et l’ensemble convainc grâce au jeu des comédiens, à la fois dans la retenue et l’expression sobre et délicate des sentiments qui les agitent. A retenir en particulier la deuxième histoire, L’intruse, qui met en présence deux femmes, l’une, évoquant l’enfermement de la fameuse Nora d’Ibsen, bourgeoise bien installée, mais désespérément désœuvrée, presque morte à elle-même (Jade Duviquet, remarquablement juste, épatante de vérité et de fragilité, très touchante), l’autre plus jeune, battue par son mari, accablée mais vivante, paradoxalement plus solide que son aînée (Lou Wenzel, très juste aussi). Le texte comme la mise en scène jouent avec finesse de l’opposition entre ces deux femmes, jamais caricaturales. Horizon incertain met en présence un homme et une femme qui se retrouvent après de longues années, entre douleur vive et renoncement assumé. La dernière histoire, La Trêve, rencontre improbable et vécue de manière invraisemblable entre une jeune fille et un soldat, entremêle le désir, la violence et la mort. La première, Une odeur de chapelle, fait vivre un tout jeune couple, dans un « temple secret », pour un rendez-vous amoureux qui n’aura pas vraiment lieu. Un théâtre tout en finesse.
