Théâtre de la Manufacture / Pépito Matéo
Dans l’art du conte, Pépito Matéo a ouvert la voie de la parole documentaire, celle des prisons ou de l’hôpital par exemple. Avec 7… lost in la Mancha, ce sont des personnages que le conteur comédien est allé chercher dans le réel, aux marges de la société, pour porter des textes bien singuliers qu’il a concoctés en s’inspirant des « fous littéraires ».
Une langue inouïe
Un cadre au chômage, un chauffeur de taxi ancien légionnaire, un SDF venu d’Afrique ou un handicapé devenu bête de cirque, voilà donc quelques-unes des figures que Pépito Matéo incarne, tirant le conte du côté du théâtre, pour sept monologues qu’il a voulus se répondant, et pleins d’une langue étrange, celle de ceux qui parlent pour rester debout. Ils sont dans leur bulle, parlent tout seuls, remâchent leurs obsessions et créent un langage inouï qu’on croise à l’occasion sur un trottoir, un quai de métro. Ces personnages un peu illuminés, drôles souvent, émouvants, révèlent beaucoup de cette société qui exclut volontiers l’anormal. Pépito Matéo les interprète avec son humanité habituelle.
