« Le texte n’est pas encore vraiment écrit, prévient Philippe Nicolle, le metteur en scène d’A bien y réfléchir…, la musique est en cours, il y a des bouts d’essai, des tentatives folles, des idées (saugrenues), des (gros) problèmes d’accessoires, des costumes manquants… » Evidemment : le rendez-vous que nous donnent les 26000 couverts est une répétition publique de la création pour laquelle ils étaient en résidence à La Scène Watteau. Une création en forme de « procession funèbre et musicale, entre légendes urbaines grotesques et faits divers macabres », une « célébration de l’absurdité risible de la mort. » Pulsions satiriques, burlesque débridé, poésie brute : les fidèles de la compagnie bourguignonne savent d’ores et déjà que ce nouveau projet comportera son lot de rebondissements et d’événements inattendus. Car rien n’est jamais vraiment sérieux ou raisonnable dans l’univers de cette troupe à l’imaginaire extravagant.
