Longtemps timbalier solo de l’Orchestre philharmonique de Radio France et de celui de Séoul, aujourd’hui chef lyrique et symphonique recherché, Adrien Perruchon aborde pour la première fois Fidelio, fort d’une connaissance de l’intérieur de la musique de Beethoven. « Même si Fidelio reste dans l’esprit du Singspiel, chaque numéro a la perfection d’une mini-symphonie. L’écriture vocale, elle, fidèle à une certaine tradition – ainsi qu’aux dynamiques propres à la langue allemande – est relativement peu nuancée. La couleur générale est suggérée, comme en miroir, par ce que fait l’orchestre. C’est cette complémentarité que nous allons rechercher en répétition ».
Des artistes reconnus et des prises de rôle
Ce travail est d’autant plus important qu’Adrien Perruchon accompagnera, à l’occasion de ces représentations dijonnaises, plusieurs prises de rôle. En effet, si Fidelio/Léonore est incarné par la mezzo irlandaise Sinéad Campbell Wallace, familière du rôle qu’elle a chanté récemment au côté de Jonas Kaufmann, et si Maximilian Schmitt a déjà été Florestan dans la version primitive de l’œuvre (Leonore), ce seront notamment les débuts, dans les rôles de Marceline et Jaquino, des jeunes Martina Russomanno (soprano) et Léo Vermot-Desroches (ténor).
