Spectacle de Kery James / mise en scène Marc Lainé
À vif, la précédente pièce de Kery James, faisait s’affronter deux avocats représentants de deux France, celle d’en bas et celle d’en haut, celle de la souche et celle de la graine apportée par le vent. Dans À huis clos, il retrouve le personnage de Soulaymaan. Après le meurtre de son grand frère, abattu d’une balle dans le dos par un policier, le jeune avocat décide de se faire justice lui-même : il prend en otage le juge qui a innocenté l’assassin de son frère. Un débat acharné s’engage entre les deux hommes, incarnés par Kery James et Jérôme Kircher, faisant s’affronter deux visions du monde et questionnant la démocratie, l’amour et le pardon.
Liberté, égalité, fraternité
Les fêlures de l’un répondent à celles de l’autre et si Kery James prend parti, il évite le manichéisme des solutions faciles. Le but est de « faire réfléchir le public, d’en faire un juge au même titre que celui présent sur la scène, à travers un texte qui est autant une critique acerbe de notre société qu’une fiction brutale, touchante, et empreinte d’un amour des mots et de leur profération, seule issue possible pour que justice soit faite, dans une époque contemporaine marquée par les violences en tous genres ». Marc Lainé met en scène ce récit brûlant qui redit l’évidence républicaine selon laquelle seule l’égalité fonde la liberté.
