Au moment où le festival Banlieues Bleues visse les derniers boulons de sa fusée 2014 (lancement prévu début avril !), sa dynamo continue de tourner avec, en janvier, deux soirées remarquables. Le contrebassiste, compositeur et leader Didier Levallet, revenu d’une décennie à la direction de la scène nationale de Montbéliard, a repris le chemin des studios et des salles avec un séduisant quintette « Voix croisées », sur lequel soufflent trois jeunes femmes prêtes à décoller : la trompettiste Airelle Besson, la flûtiste Sylvaine Hélary et la saxophoniste Céline Bonacina. Le même soir, suit un trio franco-britannique composé de Céline Bonacina aux saxophones, Michel Benita à la contrebasse et Gwilym Simcock au piano, étoile montante de la scène jazz anglaise (le 18 janvier). Six jours plus tard, l’accordéoniste Vincent Peirani, lancé dans la lumière comme leader avec une création lors de la dernière édition de Banlieues Bleues, aligne deux duos de choc, avec le pianiste Bojan Z puis avec Michel Portal auquel il voue une vraie admiration. « Faire de la musique aux côtés de Michel Portal, cela a d’abord représenté la réalisation d’un rêve d’ado ! confie Peirani. Et puis après, une fois sur scène, c’est la liberté absolue, la légèreté, la complexité ! ».
