Félicette Chazerand est une chorégraphe d’origine française installée en Belgique, formée chez Béjart et lauréate du concours de Bagnolet. Depuis 1992, elle écrit ses pièces avec une attention forte portée aux danseurs, leur énergie, leur environnement, allant plus avant en direction du jeune public. A l’ombre des arbres trace l’exploration de deux danseurs en prise avec un univers naturel, recréé sur le plateau avec la matière bois disséminée sous forme de troncs, branches, écorces, et avec l’image vidéo ou le montage sonore qui pose tout de suite une atmosphère zen portée par la douceur de chants d’oiseaux.
L’homme dans son rapport à la nature
Forte de cet univers visuel et sonore, la pièce se lit comme une véritable rupture avec le brouhaha du quotidien. Comme une bouffée d’air frais, elle propose un moment d’apaisement construit sur la recherche d’états de corps en lien avec le bois. Les danseurs jouent de ce matériau, puisant dans chaque élan, chaque petit geste, chaque enchevêtrement de postures, la mémoire d’une rencontre avec l’imposant élément. Lumière et scénographie jouent ensemble le même jeu, et portent une danse joliment incarnée. A voir en famille l’esprit calme et ouvert sur notre propre rapport à la nature.
