Lorsque la voix étrange, à la fois puissante et délicate, du groupe Moriarty rencontre l’univers scénique surnaturel de Juliette Deschamps, le résultat est un cabaret décalé, où la fantaisie sombre dans la noirceur. Le personnage central est une reine du music-hall déchue, symbole de la bascule de la splendeur à la décadence. Un chant du cygne alternant le lumineux et le sombre, scène d’adieux à un public qui l’a sûrement déjà brûlée, peuplée de souvenirs, de standards du jazz vocal et de répertoire de comédie musicale. Une scénographie arrivant à mêler les lourds velours et le dénuement, dans un registre des vanités : des robes de conte de fées version Broadway, une échappée de paillettes éteintes peuplée des fantômes musicaux de Nina Simone, Marilyn Monroe, Gershwin ou Billie Holiday.
