Installé en France depuis plus de vingt-cinq ans, le comédien et metteur en scène québécois Christian Bordeleau y fait découvrir le répertoire théâtral de la Belle Province. Michel Tremblay, qui a su sauvegarder la rugosité poétique du joual, ce parler truculent né de la rencontre entre le français et l’anglais, et qui invente, dans son œuvre, une comédie humaine authentiquement populaire, est un des meilleurs dramaturges d’outre-Atlantique. Ses pièces sont « des hymnes à la vie, de grands, d’incroyables véhicules d’émotions et d’humour caustique », dit Christian Bordeleau. A toi, pour toujours, ta Marie-Lou installe sur scène, dans deux temps séparés par dix années d’incompréhension et de souffrance, les deux filles, Manon et Carmen, et leurs parents, Marie-Lou et Léopold. Dans la cuisine familiale, les parents vivent leur scène finale, pendant que les deux filles font le point sur les événements qui ont bouleversé leur vie. Manon vit enfermée avec ses démons, Carmen tente de l’en sortir. La composition dramatique ménage le suspense et joue efficacement des allers-retours entre le présent et le passé ; et les quatre comédiens servent avec brio ce dialogue émouvant entre la mémoire et les non-dits.
