Théâtre du Rond-Point / de Kery James / mes Jean-Pierre Baro
Spectateurs et citoyens, à vous de découvrir un concours d’éloquence inédit, qui confronte deux étudiants de l’Ecole de formation du barreau de Paris, Maître Soulaymaan et Maître Yann, sur une question éminemment sensible : « L’État doit-il être jugé coupable de la situation actuelle des banlieues ? » Le rappeur Kery James, qui interprète le rôle de Maître Soulaymaan face à Yannik Landrein dans celui de Maître Yann, a ciselé cette joute politique entre deux France qu’il se refuse à caricaturer. Alors que les élections présidentielles approchent, il affirme à travers cette confrontation la vertu du dialogue contre les idées toutes faites. Jean-Pierre Baro, qui souligne être né à la politique à travers le rap, interroge à travers sa mise en scène « la place du citoyen face à cette parole ». « L’ambition d’À vif est de faire résonner une parole claire, et de produire un dialogue avec les spectateurs », dit-il. Utilisant quelques échappées musicales, séquences filmées et interventions d’une voix off, la pièce vise à favoriser « une forme d’émancipation citoyenne ».
