« Au commencement était le vide » dites-vous… Pourquoi ce désir de partir de « là » ?
Abou Lagraa : Nous sommes bâtis sur une absence… L’homme naît avec un vide à combler. Il épuise sa vie en quête d’une âme sœur, essaie de combler ce désert par l’intermédiaire d’une personne, d’une entité, ou d’un Dieu. Pour se construire, l’être humain a besoin de cette force qui rassure. Le vide forme paradoxalement le socle même de notre évolution personnelle.
Quel est le chemin que vous tracez pour faire émerger ce « monde en soi » avec les danseurs ?
A. L. : La matrice du travail puise dans l’évolution de l’homme depuis le « big bang », qui va vers une complexité croissante et une organisation sociale fondée sur la spécialisation. Pourtant, malgré le cloisonnement de la société actuelle, une force commune nous traverse, qui est l’âme, la vie, la conscience collective. Un monde en soi dessine un ballet inspiré du mouvement permanent de l’univers. L’écriture chorégraphique, le positionnement et les trajectoires des sept danseurs sur le plateau se feront échos de l’architecture des planètes.
Quelles sont les qualités de mouvement que vous cherchez ?
A. L. : Elles suivent la dynamique d’évolution de l’homme : elles passent d’une danse intérieure, introspective, organique, qui rappelle l’état de bactéries, à une corporéité animale, puis à la gestuelle « raisonnée » de l’homo sapiens, structurée et composée de mouvements codifiés empruntés au classique et à la danse contemporaine, base de ma recherche.
Comment appréhendez-vous la relation entre la danse et la musique, jouée par le Quatuor Debussy ?
A. L. : Les instruments à cordes conviennent parfaitement à ce thème créatif. La musique constitue l’enjeu de la pièce : elle donne la vibration, qui est le principe, découvert par Albert Einstein, de toute forme de vie dans le cosmos. La vie vibre en chacun de nous. Le quatuor génère ainsi les changements de direction spatiale du travail scénique et chorégraphique.
