Dirigé par Hubert Colas, auteur-metteur en scène et codirecteur de Montévidéo, centre de création contemporaine à Marseille, le festival actOral invite une vingtaine d’auteurs de roman, de théâtre et de poésie « à confronter leurs textes à l’oralité de la scène » ainsi qu’à d’autres formes d’art. Lectures, mises en espace, performances, spectacles, concerts, expositions et projections de films : actOral répertorie les nouvelles écritures scéniques et invite ces découvreurs à présenter leurs travaux au public. La huitième édition du festival met l’accent sur les écritures lusitaniennes et italiennes et s’organise autour de cinq axes principaux de programmation : « les brèves », courtes interventions où un artistes présente ses recherches en toute liberté ; « les impromptus », commandes d’écriture faites à quatre écrivains autour d’une vidéo réalisée par un plasticien ; « une heure avec » où les auteurs lisent des textes publiés ou inédits ; « les mises en lecture / mise en espace / spectacles / performances / concerts » et « les expositions / installations / projections ».
