Expert pour créer des images attrayantes et naviguer à travers les cultures Internet, le collectif (LA)HORDE (Marine Brutti, Jonathan Debrouwer et Arthur Harel) dirige depuis 2019 le Ballet de Marseille, depuis marqué par leur patte pop. Après avoir fait exploser la fureur du jumpstyle dans TO DA BONE (2017) et déchaîné les corps dans un monde post-apocalyptique dans ROOM WITH A VIEW (2020), ils questionnent avec Age of Content l’impact de l’abondance des images, vidéos, discours et sons disponibles sur Internet, rassemblés sous le terme parapluie de contenu. Comment le corps réagit-il à ces réalités virtuelles auxquelles il est quotidiennement exposé ? Quelles sont nos implications en termes émotionnels et perceptifs dans ces mondes ? Nos incarnations virtuelles ont-elles une vie propres ?
Vers une dystopie ?
Ces interrogations qui frôlent la science-fiction, voire la dystopie, se multiplient dans cette pièce, où est aussi injectée une recherche autour du jazz, des comédies musicales et de leurs liens avec les crises. Armé de pléthore de concepts et de références, le collectif (LA)HORDE promet encore une fois de déployer une pièce à l’esthétique léchée, à la danse très physique, qui pourrait faire penser à une boîte de nuit du futur.
