C’est en 2006 que, poussés par l’élan généreux du désir de rencontre hors des lieux culturels labélisés, Marie Mercadal et Arno Essertel se lancèrent sur les routes du territoire audois. Après ce premier tour de cirque en milieu rural, Le Cirk’Oblique a continué son chemin itinérant. Aujourd’hui agrandi avec l’arrivée de trois autres complices, il met en scène sous chapiteau quelques exemplaires épisodes du petit chahut de la vie : Ahoüt cueille à même l’ordinaire du vécu les menus faits et gestes qui font toute l’âpre complexité de l’existence. En piste, une trapéziste cérémonieuse, un fil-de-fériste exalté et un couple de portés acrobatiques ensorcelé vont bon train en toute harmonie jusqu’à ce qu’un cinquième larron vienne détraquer ce quatuor idyllique. « Au travers de personnages tragi-comiques, fantastiques ou étranges, nous jouons des situations quotidiennes bancales afin de restituer un monde social », raconte la troupe. Les agrès se font ici autant espaces de rencontres et de liens que frontières. Mariant théâtre, acrobatie, manipulation d’objets et tours de clé, le Cirk’Oblique bricole un conte échevelé sur les différences, l’exclusion et la notion de territoire.
