« Lors de mes longues soirées d’errance, de doute, dans ma quête d’amour absolu, d’amour impossible, dans mes désespérances de l’âme humaine, deux femmes sont venues à mon secours à de nombreuses reprises. Barbara et Janis Joplin. » dit Kloé Lang, qui explique ainsi pourquoi elle a eu envie de raconter une histoire avec leurs mots. « Une histoire d’amour, de manque d’amour. L’histoire d’une femme libre et sans concession qui se perd dans les méandres de la vie. Une ode à la liberté. » Un espace scénique épuré, fait de socles en métal et d’une guirlande lumineuse, crée les conditions du rêve et du voyage : « un espace qui invite l’intime avec poésie et humour ». Trois étapes dans ce périple : la solitude, la désespérance et la confiance. Et un épilogue : « aimez-moi avant ma mort », en forme « de conclusion et de mode d’emploi ».
