La beauté du geste… souvent relève le panache d’une belle action coincée dans la caillasse des réalités et réconforte les ardents partisans des causes perdues. Courir à sa fin certes, mais avec style, mais avec joie ! Puisque tel est le destin de l’humain… La danse, dans sa quête d’envol, ses élans et ses chutes inéluctables, dans le plaisir aussi de sentir la vie remuer en dedans, dans la force et la fragilité de l’instant, porte cette exaltation du défi mis en bonnes formes. Tant et si bien que, retrouvant le bonheur du mouvement, Philippe Ménard s’y adonne dans AIR, sa nouvelle création. « Pour parler de cette jubilation, de cette flamme, de ce plaisir, la meilleure façon serait de s’atteler aux défis impossibles, absurdes, qu’on se lancerait à soi-même, aux rêves d’enfance, aux fantasmes inavouables, aux délires de salle de bain, à tous ces instants volés. » raconte-t-il. Le chorégraphe signe ici, pour quatre interprètes poussés par l’énergie délurée de l’allégresse, un bel « hommage aux champions du rien, aux recordmans du dérisoire », qui s’avale comme une grande bouffée d’air frais.
