NOUVELLE PRODUCTION / OPERA COMIQUE
C’est en jouant la musique du film d’Alain Corneau Tous les matins du monde sur la relation entre Marin Marais et son maître M. de Sainte Colombe que le violiste Jordi Savall s’est fait connaître du grand public. Avec son Orchestre et son Chœur du Concert des Nations, le Catalan présente une autre facette de son compositeur fétiche en donnant l’un de ses opéras – sans doute le plus achevé. Créé à l’Académie royale de musique en 1706 sur un livret d’Antoine Houdar de La Motte d’après les Métamorphoses d’Ovide, Alcione conte les noces contrariées d’Alcione, fille d’Eole dieu des vents, et de Ceix, roi de Trachione, que de nombreux jaloux cherchent à empêcher. La jeune mezzo franco-italienne Lea Desandre en Alcione et le fin ténor Cyril Auvity seront mis en scène par Louise Moaty, déjà présente à l’Opéra comique en 2102 pour Vénus et Adonis de John Blow. Pour ce grand spectacle de tempêtes (l’opéra contient l’une des plus célèbres pages de musique descriptive du siècle), de naufrages et autres visions infernales, Louise Moaty sera accompagnée de la chorégraphe circassienne Raphaëlle Boitel. On a hâte d’entendre l’un des tubes de cette pièce, la « Marche pour les matelots » !
