Une voix, deux guitares portugaises’ S’appuyant sur une profonde connaissance
de la tradition du Fado et une magnifique voix épurée, la jeune Aldina Duarte
défend un répertoire de chansons originales. Interprète d’exception, habitée par
son art, elle insuffle à chaque mot et à chaque temps une force et une intention
inouïes. Aldina Duarte chante la vie dans ce qu’elle a souvent de plus cruel, et
aussi l’espoir? « Nous souffrons les pertes, les épaules tombées, la poitrine
brûlante de solitude, jusqu’à l’arrivée d’un jour (ou d’une nuit) où nous nous
réveillerons dans la liberté des pas et des mains qui nous porteront jusqu’au
c’ur de celui qui lutte pour être vivant » écrit-elle. Un fado pur et brut,
allant à l’essentiel de l’âme de cette musique, véritable « art de la
tristesse ». Son deuxième album, Crua, est paru début 2006 autour de
nouvelles chansons composées sur des textes écrits par João Monge.
