Fondation Louis Vuitton / Orchestre / Création d’un concerto
Pour refermer sa saison musicale, la Fondation Louis Vuitton a choisi de mettre en avant son engagement envers la création contemporaine et passer commande à Guillaume Connesson d’un concerto pour piano et orchestre de chambre. Représentant d’un certain courant qualifié de néo-tonal, le compositeur français, régulièrement joué et récompensé, est actuellement associé au Scottish Chamber Orchestra. C’est la formation qui jouera la première mondiale de cette nouvelle œuvre, L’Espérance de l’aube, sous la direction de Lionel Bringuier. Quant à la partie soliste, elle sera confiée à l’une des étoiles incontournables de la nouvelle génération du piano, Alexandre Kantorow. Encadrée par les Masques et Bergamasques, suite orchestrale du dernier Fauré tirée d’une musique de scène inspirée par la commedia dell’arte, et la Sinfonietta de Poulenc, hommage discret aux Symphonies de Haydn, la nouvelle pièce de Connesson révélera ses filiations avec la musique française.
