« C’est un spectacle qui mélange des ingrédients assez hétérogènes et évoque des questions proches des préoccupations écologiques, interrogeant ce qui traverse les corps contemporains : des drogues prises consciemment, des produits toxiques qui s’inscrivent dans l’organisme quand on mange, et, dans une dimension plus métaphysique, toutes les œuvres qui traversent la mienne. Le corps du spectacle est ainsi nourri par tout ce qui le traverse et tâche d’élaborer une poétique de la matière. En posant de manière poétique que nos corps sont traversés par des pollutions, on peut en prendre conscience et retrouver une certaine vitalité qui consisterait, au fond, à déterminer son intoxication positive !
Varier les ingrédients et travailler sur la durée.
Le spectacle est nourri par de nombreuses petites références. La seule vraiment explicite est celle à Paul MacCarthy, performer américain. Nous créons un théâtre croisé avec une esthétique de la performance, notamment celle de Nicolas Richard, qui mange un crabe pendant le spectacle et propose des actions qui sont sa manière à lui de faire du théâtre dans un autre code de jeu.
Je considère que le travail théâtral est forcément collectif. L’équipe avec laquelle je travaille depuis mes précédents spectacles apporte beaucoup : on réfléchit ensemble même si c’est moi qui signe le geste définitif. Le premier chantier de ce travail a eu lieu en septembre 2006 : l’intérêt de la résidence au Studio-Théâtre est notamment que sa durée offre le temps de la réécriture entre les séances de travail avec les acteurs : c’est un apport essentiel ! »
