Deux hommes marchent. L’un avec l’autre, ils avancent, puis soudain se décalent, se déchirent, emportés chacun par l’élan de leur course. L’un contre l’autre, ils se cherchent, se défient, s’esquivent, avant de nouer leurs corps en un et de sceller leurs âmes pour cheminer ensemble. Leur sarabande, féline, combative, devient de plus en plus espiègle et complice, jusqu’à chahuter les lisières de l’humain, jusqu’à unir la grâce et l’effroi dans leur chair. Mathurin Bolze est acrobate voltigeur. Hedi Thabet, unijambiste acrobate. Ils se sont rencontrés voici vingt ans, quand leurs désirs adolescents rêvaient de pistes aux étoiles. Puis chacun a suivi sa route. Mathurin Bolze, trampoliniste formé au Centre national des arts du cirque, a rejoint le collectif Anomalie, œuvré avec François Verret et créé ses propres pièces. Hedi Thabet, jongleur issu de l’école de cirque de Bruxelles, atteint par la maladie, s’est dirigé vers le jeu d’acteur et le mouvement.
Une histoire d’amitié
« Depuis longtemps, nous nous regardions, de loin, amicalement, grandir dans nos devenirs de circassiens. Son opération nous a rapprochés, raconte Mathurin. Est né le désir d’une rencontre physique, d’une confrontation, en actes, à la réalité de nos différences, de nos ressemblances. J’avais la curiosité de son corps étrange. Hedi est une question ambulante, de par son centre de gravité, sa manière de se déplacer, de penser une intégrité du corps, sa posture d’esprit. ». Avec Ali, « Pièce pour quatre béquilles, trois jambes, deux têtes et une chaise », ces deux-là réinventent le langage de la rencontre, dans un duo qui laisse bruire cet impalpable du lien à l’autre, à soi dans l’autre. Qui dit l’histoire d’une amitié où « deux hirondelles tantôt silencieuses, tantôt loquaces se partagent l’infini du ciel et le même auvent.» comme écrivait René Char.
