Au printemps dernier, Ophélie Gaillard, familière de Bach, Britten ou Fauré qui jalonnent sa superbe discographie, fondatrice de l’ensemble Pulcinella, créait la surprise en signant le double CD « Alvorada » (l’aubade) sur le label Aparté. Un projet dont la source semble être la musique de Gaspar Cassadó (1897-1966), habituée aux pupitres de violoncellistes classiques : « J’ai voulu me mettre dans la tête de ce Catalan, qui a emprunté aux différents folklores de l’Espagne : lasardana catalane, la jota andalouse… L’idée m’est venue de creuser ce folklore espagnol par des digressions vers Falla et Granados » confie la violoncelliste qui en tirant ce fil « Cassado » a très vite regardé aussi vers des compositeurs tels que Villa-Lobos ou Piazzolla, qui ont su comme personne faire se confondre les frontières entre musiques populaires et savantes. Poursuivant son film musical en renouvelant décors et personnages, Ophélie Gaillard s’offre aujourd’hui une rencontre avec une légende de la Bossa Nova, un grand guitariste et chanteur de Sao Paulo, complice de l’immense poète de la chanson brésilienne Vincius de Moraes : Toquinho. Une rencontre encadrée par le pianiste et compositeur franco-argentin Gabriel Sivak, auteur des arrangements, et par le contrebassiste Romain Lécuyer (échappé de l’ensemble Tanguisimo).
