Ils n’ont même pas trente ans, mais le monde du jazz est déjà à leurs pieds : le Cubain Harold Lopez-Nussa et l’Américain Ambrose Akinmusire se succéderont sur la scène du festival Banlieues Bleues. Le premier, virtuose du piano qui accompagnait Omara Portuondo alors qu’il n’avait que 25 ans, offrira une rencontre inédite entre son trio et la vibrante chanteuse malienne Mamani Keita. Le second viendra escorté de son quintette de feu pour délivrer son jazz gorgé de tradition, mais pourtant très contemporain. Aussi à l’aise dans l’art de la ballade veloutée que dans celui de la tempête bop, Ambrose Akinmusire est le dernier rejeton d’une prestigieuse lignée de trompettistes hébergée par le label Blue Note (Lee Morgan, Freddie Hubbard…).
