Anne Peko, fille d’armateur née en Afrique de l’Ouest, connaît la mer qu’elle sillonne depuis toujours. Elle en sait la fascination et les vertiges, la beauté et l’exigence. Celle que le metteur en scène Philippe Adrien, qui l’a dirigée au théâtre, traite affectueusement de « gavroche et vamp de poche », est une interprète dont le talent scénique soutient les prouesses vocales et dont les spectacles sont toujours ciselés au plus juste pour servir au mieux les textes et les musiques dont elle s’empare. Elle qui sait passer du velours à l’acide et de l’humour à l’émotion navigue avec autant d’assurance sur les vagues de la chanson que sur les flots. Pour son voyage maritime, elle a choisi des équipiers d’exception : Brel, Barbara, Gainsbourg, Nougaro, Cendrars, Hemingway, Weil, Conrad, Baudelaire, Baricco et Piaf. Sa voix ensorcelante, sa personnalité émouvante et déroutante, sa présence hors du commun font de son nouveau désir d’« extravaguer » la promesse d’un moment d’authentique qualité.
