Tignasse hirsute, nez écarlate et bouche lardée d’un noir sourire… Antigone gratte à genoux la sombre terre de Thèbes pour ensevelir son frère Polynice, défiant l’interdit jeté par le roi Créon et scellant sa condamnation à mort par ce geste rebelle. Puisant dans les multiples variantes du mythe, de Sophocle à Anouilh et Bauchau, Adèll Nodé-Langlois donne une version clownesque drôlement poignante. « Personnage tragique, Antigone a pourtant de nombreux points communs avec le clown, de par son énergie adolescente, toute de feu et de passion, par son impatience, par sa révolte contre les conventions. Le clown exige un travail très organique et fait vibrer toutes les cordes des émotions. Il habite le présent. » dit-elle. « En se plaçant sous l’emprise de cette lignée maudite, il renvoie en miroir la vulnérabilité humaine. Antigone et le clown sont deux figures poétiques et sacrifiées. » Guidée par Sophie Buis, elle bataille cahin-caha contre les coups de l’existence et fait de ces funérailles un grand carnaval naïf, ébouriffé autant qu’exalté.
