Plus petits que les atomes, les quarks sont des particules quantiques colorées, cherchant pour fonctionner un complice d’une couleur différente : un anti-quark ! Cet inventif duo lyonnais s’inspire de ce principe de fonctionnement pour donner vie à une musique échappant à toute classification, une ethno-world-experimental-music servie par un tandem d’esprit chercheur de sons et d’instruments mutants et chantée dans une langue imaginaire. Sébastien Tron (vielle à roue) et Richard Monségu (voix & batterie) définissent leur création comme une « musique de l’interrestre », véritable invitation au voyage et à l’abandon dans une « matière musicale pétillante et malicieuse, légère et sérieuse ». Fumeux ? Non, créatif. Nouvel album : "Cosmographes". En deuxième partie de soirée, le Trio Soulayres, qui réunit quatre (!) musiciens issus du classique, du folk et de la chanson, laisse s’épanouir sur scène la musique de leur premier album qui sort aujourd’hui : « Native Land » (chez CPDM/Yotanka/Discograph). Depuis trois ans, le groupe a mûri un riche et subtil répertoire, conçu autour de la superbe voix aérienne de Séverine Soulayres et nourri des traditions argentines, irlandaises et orientales. « Au fil des scènes communes et des créations se sont dégagées des affinités musicales et une attirance commune pour travailler sur un répertoire acoustique, dont la texture serait un mélange de compositions et l’exploration de musiques populaires de différentes cultures. Un réel irlandais endiablé, un tango, une milonga sont autant de portes qui nous permettent de sortir du formatage ambiant » confie le Trio. Avec Séverine Soulayres (chant, bodhran, guitares), Christophe Jacques (guitares, mandoline), Paul Valère Marchand (violoncelle) et Myriam Essayan (percus, bodhran). Une vraie découverte.
