Vivre le théâtre dans son impérieuse nécessité et son exigence absolue… Cette conviction doublée de désir tend le geste de Gwenaël Morin, qui mène avec sa troupe une aventure artistique débordant les cadres joliment chantournés de la représentation. Débarrassant le plateau des faux-nez scénographiques, il monte les textes à cru, dans l’urgence du dire et du faire. « Je conçois mon travail de théâtre comme la mise en oeuvre d’une certaine confrontation des sensibilités : la mienne avec celle d’un auteur, celle des acteurs, celle des spectateurs… et je fais seulement l’hypothèse que de cette confrontation puisse jaillir du sens » lâche-t-il. Le metteur en scène s’empare aujourd’hui de quatre pièce de R.W. Fassbinder, qui théorisa et mit en pratique « l’antiteatre » à la fin des années 1960. Procédant au démontage méthodique de tous les repères politiques, psychologiques ou moraux dans le climat vénéneux de l’Allemagne d’après-guerre, le cinéaste et dramaturge allemand gratte le vernis du « miracle économique » et en montre la brutalité cachée. Avec sa bande d’acteurs aguerris aux grandes traversées théâtrales, Gwenaël Morin fouille les mots et les situations pour découvrir l’« archéologie de la violence ».
