Depuis pas mal de temps, le trompettiste Antoine Berjeaut se fraye une voie originale parmi les nébuleuses du jazz actuel, dans laquelle il cherche à concilier son goût pour la beat music, l’ambient, le jazz et le hip hop. Après une collaboration remarquée avec le batteur Makaya McCraven qui l’a tiré de l’ombre, le voici de retour entouré d’une équipe bien sentie (Enzo Carniel et Gauthier Toux aux claviers, Arnaud Dolmen à la batterie) qui fonctionne comme une matrice à groove à partir de laquelle il édifie et façonne sa musique, à la fois atmosphérique et nerveuse. Il lui donne le nom un peu alambiqué de « Chromesthesia », manière de signifier qu’elle est à ses yeux, dans ses textures comme dans ses lignes, aussi composée que dessinée. L’album vient de sortir.
