Ses concerts mêlent judicieusement moments de musique (à la tête de son nouveau groupe malicieusement intitulé « Pierre et Marie Tuerie ») et programme pédagogique pour décoder la musique de géants de l’histoire du jazz. Revisiter le passé pour mieux appréhender la musique d’aujourd’hui… « J’ai ainsi imaginé ces « Leçons de jazz », qui, en un peu plus d’une heure, font le portrait de grands pianistes créateurs, comme Bill Evans, Thelonious Monk, McCoy Tyner ou encore Chick Corea. L’idée est de désacraliser ces grands interprètes » explique Antoine Hervé. Après avoir éclairé, tout au long de la saison, l’art de ces musiciens du passé, Antoine Hervé consacre sa prochaine « Leçon de Jazz » à… Antoine Hervé ! Un concert en forme de clin d’œil qui devrait largement mettre à l’honneur la nouvelle orientation électro-acoustique de sa musique, en particulier à travers sa collaboration avec sa femme Véronique Wilmart, spécialiste de cet art des sons et des timbres. « Il y a cent ans est apparue la batterie qui a révolutionné la musique. Il en est de même, j’en suis convaincu, pour la lutherie informatique aujourd’hui. C’est une véritable révolution… Ce qui me séduit, c’est la poétique des objets sonores. Les techniques d’électro-acoustique m’obligent à remettre en jeu mes propres acquis d’improvisation. A mon sens, la création se fait aujourd’hui sur la notion de timbre » insiste cet infatigable artiste, qualifié récemment dans ces pages d’« accélérateur de particules musicales ». Passionnant.
