OPÉRA EN CONCERT / PHILHARMONIE DE PARIS
Avec Armide, créée en 1686, un an avant la mort du compositeur, Lully et son librettiste Quinault portent à son point d’aboutissement leur travail sur la tragédie en musique. La musique s’enroule autour du texte pour donner une ampleur jusqu’alors jamais atteinte à l’expression des passions. Longtemps restée dans l’ombre, l’œuvre retrouve aujourd’hui sa place dans le répertoire lyrique baroque. C’est ainsi que Christophe Rousset était en juin dernier avec ses musiciens des Talens lyriques dans la fosse de l’Opéra de Nancy pour une nouvelle production de l’œuvre mise en scène par David Hermann. Une distribution presque identique, avec notamment Marie-Adeline Henry dans le rôle éponyme de la magicienne et la présence des impeccables Marc Mauillon et Judith Van Wanroij, est réunie cette fois pour une version de concert sur le plateau de la grande salle de la Philharmonie de Paris.
