C’est dans l’étreinte de l’art, de la danse et du théâtre que se trouve ArtDanThé… Butinant sur les chemins de traverses, le festival trace chaque année un parcours singulier au gré des affinités électives et des découvertes. « Je partage mes coups de cœur, dit sans ambages José Alfarroba, directeur du Théâtre de Vanves, qui, par sa tenace passion, a imposé ce festival comme un rendez-vous essentiel pour les professionnels et le public. « Dès nos débuts, nous avons voulu accompagner dans la durée des artistes que nous sentions en pleine éclosion. » Au fil des années se sont ainsi nouées de belles fidélités qui ponctuent la programmation aux côtés de nouveaux venus. « Peu de lieux aujourd’hui osent prendre des risques et soutenir des compagnies encore inconnues. Nous associons souvent dans une même soirée une personnalité reconnue et un jeune qui se lance. » Ainsi de Fanadeep, performeur croisant des figures hybrides, mi-enfant, mi-humain, mi-bête, qui précède Parades & changes, replay in expansion, qu’Anne Collod a conçu d’après Anna Halprin, pionnière américaine. Ou de Nosfell, qui mêle musique et danse dans un univers fantasmagorique unique, et collabore avec David Wampach, qui quant à lui présente trois pièces. Les artistes figurant dans le programme « premiers projets » côtoient sans complexe Philippe Quesne, Christian Rizzo, Fanny de Chaillé, Loïc Touzé, Lionel Hoche, Raphaëlle Delaunay ou Ivana Müller.
Par-delà les frontières
Artdanthé s’aventure également par-delà les frontières et trace un trait d’union avec les Pays-Bas et le Québec. Daniel Léveillé a notamment imaginé une carte blanche qui dévoile quelques-uns des talents de la scène actuelle québécoise, tels que Marie Beland ou Julie Andrée T. Le théâtre se glisse en force dans l’édition 2012. « Ces dernières années, les collectifs de théâtre affirment des démarches très originales, en prise avec le monde, qui questionnent les formes et les corps, la présence et l’engagement physique sur le plateau. » remarque José Alfarobba. Qu’ils s’attaquent aux classiques comme Thomas Bouvet avec Phèdre de Racine, aux écritures contemporaines comme Julien Gosselin avec Gênes 01 de Fausto Paravidino ou créent à même la scène comme Les chiens de Navarre, avec Nous avons les machines, ces metteurs en scène grattent l’enduit des conventions pour toucher le nerf du présent. Loin des querelles de chapelle, des prescriptions et des effets de mode, le festival Artdanthé décidément trace un chemin qui fait sens.
