La Scène Watteau / de et avec Matthias De Koning, Damiaan De Schrijver et Peter Van den Eede
« Les artistes ont quelque intérêt à ce que l’on croie à leurs intuitions subites, à leurs prétendues inspirations ; comme si l’idée de l’œuvre d’art, du poème, la pensée fondamentale d’une philosophie tombaient du ciel tel un rayon de la grâce. », disait Nietzsche. A contrario de cet adage, Matthias De Koning, du Maatschappij Discordia, Damiaan De Schrijver, du tg STAN, et Peter Van den Eede, du collectif de KOE ont imaginé un spectacle qui donne à voir l’atelier du comédien, le lieu de fabrication de son art et de sa pratique.
Magie du dévoilement
« Qu’est-ce qu’être assis sur une chaise ? Et qu’est-ce qu’un comédien qui marche ? Certes, c’est un homme qui marche, mais dans le contexte de la représentation, c’est quoi ? », demande Damiaan De Schrijver. La scène prend la forme d’un chaos primitif dont l’organisation apparaît au fur et à mesure de la représentation, comme le tableau naît sous le pinceau, comme la sculpture surgit du marbre. Ce spectacle sans mots montre ce qui se passe dans la tête des acteurs et offre un intense moment de poésie allié à une audacieuse exploration des arcanes de l’art de jouer.
