Le corps des femmes a toujours été soumis à la mode. Balkis Moutashar nous propose un voyage à travers les silhouettes que les vêtements apposent et imposent au corps. Tout commence en chemise, avec des déplacements amusants, évoquant tour à tour la marche des crabes ou les poses de la statuaire antique. Autant d’« attitudes » qui, si elles ne sont pas encore « habillées » sont déjà fort parlantes et fort drôles. Au fil de la pièce s’ajoutent quelques accessoires vestimentaires, fraises, corsets et chaussures à plateaux (chopines) du XVIe siècle, manches gigots et tournures (des « faux-culs » métalliques) du XIXe siècle ou coiffes normandes ahurissantes. Ces vêtements fragmentés, pensés comme des morceaux d’histoire ont-ils laissé des traces dans nos corps contemporains ? L’univers de Balkis Moutashar est ludique, poétique et teinté de surréalisme. Mais sous cette légèreté apparente, la chorégraphe s’interroge sur la façon dont les vêtements orientent le regard et dessinent les figures du pouvoir.
