Cinq jeunes gens et cinq jeunes filles pénètrent progressivement l’espace, selon un jeu variable de probabilités géométriques. Un danseur, puis deux, trois, quatre se lancent glorieusement dans l’espace, tandis qu’un cinquième, assis, les regarde. Plus tard, l’ensemble de la troupe se croise, entamant une course de vitesse risquée, sans jamais se heurter ni se télescoper. Les dessins et les volumes que tracent les interprètes aboutissent à des œuvres picturales et sculpturales furtives, mais dont le goût est sûr, grâce à l’énergie authentiquement déployée, la détermination et la conviction pressenties.
Humanité errante
Puis le rythme se ralentit, plus ample et plus tranquille, gracieux et harmonieux, dans le contrôle paradoxal d’une vie intérieure que l’on devine bouleversée et inquiète. La situation scénique appartient à nos jours de fracture sociale, indistincts et sans âme. Lumières tamisées de tarmac, salle d’attente de gare ou d’embarquement aérien, tels sont les lieux standardisés, récepteurs d’une humanité errante, à moitié exclue à l’intérieur d’une société indifférente. Ces personnes laissées Au bord de la route ne dépendent plus d’une autre présence qui se partagerait ; elles sont abandonnées au cours de leurs déambulations urbaines dans des villes si grandes qu’on ne peut jamais les quitter. Les artistes de Patrice Bigel marchent furieusement dans les rues de notre vie, sous des lumières froides, fantômes égarés et jetés dans le tumulte du jour et de la nuit pour agrandir la foule des ombres.
