Il peut y avoir une vie avant le théâtre. François Orsoni a vécu l’une d’entre elles, une vie qui l’a mené du côté de la macroéconomie monétaire. Un changement de direction plus tard — changement radical — le voilà acteur, metteur en scène et fondateur d’une compagnie (le Théâtre de NéNéKa), sous l’impulsion de trois fidèles compagnons de route : Alban Guyon, Clotilde Hesme et Thomas Landbo. C’est avec ces comédiens (accompagnés de Mathieu Genet, Tomas Heuer, Estelle Meyer et Jeanne Tremsal) que François Orsoni met aujourd’hui en scène Baal, trois ans après avoir créé Jean La Chance, autre pièce de jeunesse de Bertolt Brecht. « J’aime raconter des histoires d’anti-héros, glissants, fuyants, qu’on ne peut rattacher à rien, qu’on ne peut enfermer dans aucune case, confie le metteur en scène. Baal, l’asocial, a cette lucidité ensoleillée décrite par Pasolini, conscient que la vie peut se regarder comme “une incroyable possession qui nous échappe”. »
Des corps qui disent, au service d’un texte qui parle
« Baal est un jouisseur chaotique, repoussant et fascinant, poursuit-il. Il s’extrait de la société et sa trajectoire est une chute progressive, un suicide lent et assumé. » Ne souhaitant pas penser cette pièce à travers une logique narrative, François Orsoni l’a envisagée comme une succession d’événements sans réels liens les uns avec les autres, cherchant ainsi à faire naître « un théâtre spectaculaire et heureux, intime, impudique, qui prend le plateau comme un lieu de jouissance collective ». Un théâtre qui attend des acteurs, après un travail d’improvisation, qu’ils deviennent des corps qui disent, au service d’un texte qui parle. Et le corps qui dira le rôle de Baal ne sera pas ici celui d’un comédien mais d’une comédienne, celui de Clotilde Hesme. Un corps de femme pour créer une forme de « distanciation », de confusion, pour aller au-delà de l’image conventionnelle du poète maudit, pour questionner autrement le féminin et le masculin.
