CDC Les Hivernales / Chor. Christian Ubl et Kylie Walters
Pour Christian Ubl, AU représente l’Autriche. Mais pour Kylie Walters, native de Warrnambool dans l’Etat de Victoria, c’est bien de l’Australie qu’il est ici question. Les deux chorégraphes, qui se sont rencontrés en Suisse voilà quinze ans, sont tous deux déracinés et enracinés ailleurs. Christian à Marseille, Kylie à Genève. Le thème de l’identité les interpelle tous les deux. Christian à déjà présenté aux Hivernales deux œuvres chorégraphiques sur ce sujet : un solo I’m from Austria, like Wolfi! et la pièce de groupe Shake it out. Au-delà de ce thème, AU, c’est l’histoire de leur rencontre et du choc de deux cultures, à savoir la danse aborigène et la valse viennoise. Tout un programme ! AU propose un récit artistique unique, nourri du parcours des deux chorégraphes, de leurs langages, de leurs héritages. Portée musicalement par l’excellent Sébastien Martel, la pièce fait l’éloge du vivre ensemble et nous invite à espérer un monde altruiste.
