MUSIQUE CONTEMPORAINE / PERPIGNAN
Accueilli au sein du Théâtre de l’Archipel, superbe création architecturale inaugurée en 2011, le festival Aujourd’hui musiques s’ouvre cette année avec Drumming, fresque en quatre parties pour ensemble de percussions (avec voix), véritable manifeste de l’art de Steve Reich (né en 1936), maître du minimalisme. L’œuvre, interprétée par l’ensemble Links, est accompagnée d’une installation visuelle qui reprend le principe du « phasage » mis en œuvre dans la musique : d’abord simple illustration de la musique, elle s’en émancipe peu à peu. Trois autres spectacles sont à l’affiche : Atem, le souffle du chorégraphe Josef Nadj sur une musique d’Alain Mahé, Aucun homme n’est une île de Roland Auzet sur un texte de Fabrice Melquiot, et Les Beaux Orages qui nous étaient promis, pièce pour sept jongleurs avec un dispositif sonore créé par Pierre Jodlowski (né en 1971), un compositeur qui met au centre de son travail la dimension spatiale de la musique.
