Dans une ville qui se vide peu à peu de tous ses habitants, résistent, au 116 de l’avenue Zéro, de bien curieux personnages… Il y a une petite vieille, grande cuisinière, qui ressemble à une théière et qui confectionne des petits plats pour deux, au cas où quelqu’un viendrait, un inventeur fou entouré de trucs et combines pour ne jamais quitter sa chaise à bascule, un bricoleur aux gros bras et aux poches à tiroirs chargées d’outils, un vieux veuf, joueur de clarinette, et un enfant solitaire doué d’étranges pouvoirs… Ensemble, ils créent une utopie fantasque où chacun met son talent au service des autres et de la création d’un restaurant musical. « Leur créativité et leurs pouvoirs sont à l’échelle de leur humanité et ce n’est que réunis qu’ils deviennent exceptionnels (…). En rassemblant leur volonté et leur énergie, ils vont participer à la reconstruction d’une société plus généreuse », explique le metteur en scène Vincent Legrand.
