Pourquoi les hommes se referment-ils sur eux-mêmes à mesure que le monde s’ouvre autour d’eux ? Pourquoi, aujourd’hui, nos villes nous font-elles peur ? Comment construire l’avenir avec toutes nos dissemblances ? S’interrogeant sur les origines du fossé renvoyant dos à dos la monstruosité des villes et la fragilité des êtres, l’auteur Mohamed Kacimi a écrit Babylon City, une pièce qui « raconte le quotidien, parfois risible, de femmes et d’hommes qui, à force d’avoir peur du monde, de l’autre, se barricadent, s’enferment à double tour et finissent par se perdre de vue eux-mêmes ». Sous la direction de Marjorie Nakache, les comédiens Yacine Belhousse, Marie Chavelet, Frédéric Hulné, Xavier Marcheschi et Sandrine Righeschi interprètent ce récit fractionné en une dizaine de séquences. Des séquences qui donnent corps à des moments de vie quotidienne « assemblés et croisés pour pointer ce qui blesse, dérange et banalise ».
