En ce début d’année 2009, Bach est plus que jamais à la mode. Après la Folle journée de Nantes qui lui a été en grande partie consacrée, c’est au tour du Théâtre du Châtelet de mettre à l’honneur le compositeur des Variations Goldberg. Le directeur du Théâtre, Jean-Luc Choplin, a imaginé, comme à son habitude, un concept habilement crossover. Intitulé « Bach to the Moon », ce spectacle réunit des artistes venant du jazz, de l’électro ou encore des musiques du monde. Les spectateurs seront invités à effectuer un « périple sensationnel » en déambulant dans les différents espaces du Théâtre. Reste à savoir si ce spectacle d’un nouveau genre réussira à affirmer la dimension universelle de l’œuvre de Bach sans tomber dans l’écueil de la démagogie.
