CREATION BAROQUE / CENTRE D’ART ET DE CULTURE DE MEUDON
Jean-Christophe Frisch se balade à Tunis lorsqu’il commence à réfléchir à un programme de concerts évoquant les ambassadeurs envoyés par Louis XIV sur les « côtes barbaresques », qui à leur retour dans le royaume mentionnèrent les musiques suaves de l’Orient. Il rencontre des musiciens tunisiens et commence à explorer avec eux les musiques les plus anciennes de leur répertoire. Il joue des airs du Maalouf tunisien avec sa flûte baroque jusqu’à trouver certaines similitudes avec les gavottes, rigaudons et danses de Lully. Comment est-ce possible ? Si on ignore tout des circonstances de cette transmission méditerranéenne, ce que l’on sait, c’est que Louis XIV entretenait des relations diplomatiques à Tunis et à Alger. Les compositeurs de Versailles se sont-ils emparés de ces rythmes d’ailleurs ? Le consul de France à Tunis a-t-il laissé sur place quelques musiciens ? Une influence mutuelle qui laisse rêveur… L’ensemble XVIII-21-le Baroque Nomade de Jean-Christophe Frisch créera cette Nouba rêvée du Roi Soleil à Tunis-La Marsa et à Meudon début 2016. Au programme, des musiques de Lully, Charpentier, Lambert, et des Bachrafs tunisiens anciens et pièces du Maalouf traditionnel.
