Cette remarquable production « de poche » du premier opéra de Mozart, composé à l’âge de 12 ans, est mise en scène par Michel Fau. Elle s’appuie sur une formule instrumentale réduite pour quatuor à cordes et piano et l’apport de textes de Beaumarchais. Le metteur en scène a cherché à la fois à renouer avec l’esprit initial, spontané et nomade, du « spectacle de tréteau » de Bastien et Bastienne tout en soulignant la profondeur d’un ouvrage par moments annonciateur de la Flûte enchantée… « Ce que Mozart nous dit est déjà essentiel et audacieux. En effet, il nous parle de la mélancolie, de l’amour fou, de la passion masochiste, de l’ambition sociale, de l’appât du gain, du chantage suicidaire, de l’espérance. Mozart dans le fond et dans la forme annonce déjà ses opéras à venir » souligne Michel Fau. Avec Corinne Durous (direction musicale et piano) et les chanteurs (et comédiens) Blandine Arnould, Raphaël Bremard et Jean-Claude Sarragosse.
