Dans une autre salle du Festival Avignon Off, il présente également Maintenant que je sais, texte de Catherine Verlaguet pour tout public à partir de 15 ans. Avec Bastien sans main, Olivier Letellier part à la rencontre des tout-petits à l’aide d’une scénographie captivante. Un plan incliné lumineux et des balles phosphorescentes constituent le terrain de jeu de Bastien, petit garçon de cinq ans à l’écart des autres élèves, et de sa maitresse Rebecca, qui crie et panique beaucoup. Tout autour, des bancs offrent au petit public une proximité bienveillante avec les personnages de l’histoire… L’histoire d’une rencontre entre deux personnes dont les mondes peinent à se rejoindre.
Non, mon enfant n’a pas de problème !
Pour réussir à intégrer Bastien à sa classe – il ne parle pas, ne joue pas avec les autres, est fasciné par les chaussures -, Rebecca part à la recherche du mot qui lui manque pour caractériser le petit garçon. Comment expliquer cette personnalité hors-norme aux enfants ? Cette quête, délicatement interprétée par Julie Badoc et Simon Aravena, est pour le « petit public » une belle découverte, qui met en jeu des différences jusqu’à leur acceptation. Devant une maman qui ne veut pas voir le problème, la maitresse s’impose comme unique rempart contre la mise à l’écart… Un joli moment qui apprend aux enfants comme aux adultes.
