Le poème symphonique pour orchestre et voix de femme, intitulé « Il fait novembre en mon âme » que signe le compositeur et poète franco-libanais Bechara El-Khoury est né du désir des parents de Stéphane, mort au Bataclan suite à l’attentat du 13 novembre 2015, de rendre hommage à leur fils. « Après la disparition tragique de son fils, une mère s’est adressée à la Fondation de France dont elle connaissait l’action Nouveaux commanditaires. La commande d’une œuvre musicale s’est progressivement imposée. Nous avons écouté beaucoup de musiques. Elle a été séduite par l’œuvre de Bechara El-Khoury, qui l’a profondément touchée. Dès la première rencontre, mon rôle de médiateur a consisté à accompagner les parents vers la réalisation de ce souhait : une œuvre d’art pour la mémoire. » explique Bruno Messina, par ailleurs directeur du festival Berlioz. L’œuvre sera interprétée par l’Orchestre de Chambre de Paris dirigé par Pierre Bleuse, et la mezzo-soprano Isabelle Druet, au même programme que la Symphonie « Paris » de Mozart.
