CONTRE-TENOR / OPERA ROYAL DE VERSAILLES
Le XVIIIèmesiècle est celui de l’apogée des castrats. Le contre-ténor américain Bejun Mehta nous fait traverser cet âge d’or au gré des œuvres de Mozart, Johann Christian Bach, Gluck et Hasse. Ce chanteur au parcours atypique – il a également étudié le violoncelle avant d’obtenir un diplôme en littérature allemande à l’université de Yale – possède une technique sans faille et un legato de velours. Il sera accompagné par le dynamique ensemble de musique ancienne Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, dirigé par son violon solo Bernhard Forck.
