Ben’Bop : une entité musicale largement métisse, par ses racines géographiques, du Sénégal à l’Europe, et par ses influences musicales, du hip-hop au rock. Métisse par ses paroles en wolof, anglais ou français. Métisse par sa généalogie… « Ben’Bop a défini l’objectif commun que nous ignorions: le partage » souligne Arnaud Samuel. Né de la rencontre de plusieurs artistes, Ben’Bop réunit Mao Seck et Kadou Sidibé – et leur producteur Vincent Stora – de No Bluff Sound, un groupe de rap et drum’n’bass, et Arnaud Samuel, le violoniste de Louise Attaque au son immédiatement identifiable. Ragga, chanson, world et punk fusionnent dans la sobriété : un juste dosage de velléités artistiques hybrides qui confluent en un son qui semble évident au XXIème siècle, le son du brassage.
Sortie de l’album « Ben’Bop » le 26 janvier chez Village Records.
