Bi-frontal, comme la configuration des musiciens, en vis-à-vis, chacun derrière son clavier : d’un côté, le pianiste Jean-Pierre Como, généreux et éclectique, qui cultive une latinité lyrique à laquelle l’inclinent ses racines italiennes ; de l’autre, Emmanuel Bex, qui délaisse pour l’occasion son habituel orgue Hammond qu’il aime tant, pour revenir au piano. Bi-frontal, comme la disposition du public, scindé en deux groupes, installés en face-à-face. Moins qu’à un match, il s’agit ici d’inciter à l’échange, à l’écoute et à la réciprocité. Concevoir le moment du concert comme un temps de dialogue, ouvert à l’imprévu, au hasard et aux bonheurs de l’inspiration. Avec un tel tandem, on ne risque pas d’être déçu.
