Les amateurs de musique contemporaine suivent des itinéraires balisés : chaque année, en septembre, direction Strasbourg pour le Festival Musica et tous les deux ans, en mars, direction Lyon pour la Biennale Musiques en scène. Le festival, organisé par le centre de création du Grame, fête cette année ses 20 ans, avec une programmation particulièrement riche, conçue par Damien Pousset. Le compositeur à l’honneur n’est autre que Michael Jarrell, dont on pourra notamment entendre le Concerto pour violoncelle et orchestre (avec Jean-Guihen Queyras, le 1er mars,) le monodrame Cassandre (avec Fanny Ardant en récitante, le 3 mars) ou encore le quatuor Zeitfragmente (par le Quatuor Arditti le 6 mars). On ne manquera pas par ailleurs la création de l’opéra de Jérôme Combier d’après le texte bouleversant d’Atiq Rahimi Terre et cendres (les 10, 13, 15, 18 et 21 mars à l’Opéra de Lyon). Le festival propose enfin des projets plus expérimentaux, notamment une installation sonore et vidéo de Thomas Léon d’après un film d’Eisenstein (le 8 mars).
